Please dont give up ur baby,u say u have both concidered it in the past then changed ur mind so there is doubt about it being the right thing to do but if u go ahead there is no going back.U say u r doing ok for now so continue what u r doing all he needs for now is love and care, food and a roof over his head,u can still do the things u want to do they might just take a little longer and have some compromises along the way. i think u wld both miss him terribly if u gave him up now that he's a month old and he will only get more adorable and show u so much love. Adopted children have a lot of issues when they r older i know this from experience (i'm not saying they all do) and often the homes they r put into r worse than the ones they came from this is something u will have no control over and as for open adoption they very rarely stay open. My partner and i have a son who we didnt plan and we worried about how we wld cope...things aint ideal but he's taken care of we love him he's fed well and clothes and we plan to take it in turn to go bk to college and get the careers we want if anything having him makes us even more determined to do it. Please please dont do it ur baby needs his real mother and father, good luck x littlest sis

I was adopted at 6 years and my sister was adopted at 6 weeks. Just please make sure the parents are what they seem. I am glad that my bio mom gave us up so we didn't have to be raised by a crack whore (literally) but our adoptive parents were not much better. Pick a family that already has at least one child and talk to that child. Make sure your baby will be treated properly! There are good people out there looking to adopt (like my husband and I) but there are just as many bad people too! Mrs. Hoober-Bloob,the Dispatcher

You already spent a month bonding with the baby. You have to absolutely sure this is what you want because once he's placed in a new home, there is no return policy. momoftwins

if you were going to do that, you should have done it right then not a month after, he knows you as his parents now..
thats sad i wish he was mine and not yours

yes you can still,
and open adoption is when you get to choose the parents, check them out well and make sure you make the right decision.

this is so sad, you should have made your mind up along time ago, please be careful when choosing his parents there are a lot of wierdos out there, and make sure they understand you want updates of that child and pictures, that way you know that hes doing ok, and that you did the right thing. 7-4-09 baby lills here

I think its too late to put your child up for adoption....
I could be wrong, but you have to do that before the baby is born or right when the baby is born you can take the baby to a "safe house" but a one month old...thats too late. Chillin With Grant 8 Months Old
