If a girl has a child under the age of 18, do you think the baby should be put up for adoption automatically?

Wilmer M asked:

Well, at least until she finishes school, then the baby could be returned to her when she’s 18, finished school, and is more responsible.

Do you think that would help the statistics? Because if you have a baby underage, you would have to dropout of school, leave your work just to take care of it.

Why would someone rather abort their baby instead of giving them up for adoption?

Agnes asked:

I’m not sure I understand the whole adoption isn’t an option because a stranger would have them….. if you get an abortion you’re throwing your baby in the trash. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.
You know how a dog doesn’t want to eat something until another dog shows interest in it, then the dog is willing to fight over it. That is what the “I’d rather abort instead of give up my kid for adoption” thing makes me think of.

How can a father find his baby if it was put up for adoption without his consent?

Starr asked:

My fiance’s ex left him while she was pregnant and he has not been able to find her. Her family disapproved because he is of another race. He was told the baby was put up for adoption. He never was contacted or agreed to this. How can we go about finding the baby? What legal rights does he have? Who should we contact to do this on our own. We cannot afford an attorney? We live in florida.

Im pregnant and would like to put the baby up for adoption but it seems as if people have an issue with my age?

Im single, 36 and have a grown daughter of my own. I have been seeing a man and recently found out I was pregnant. The guy told me I should have an abortation but I can’t do it and I can’t have or raise another child. Does anyone know any sites or suggestions for finding adoptive parents, that deal with someone other than teenagers/college students?

Has it ever been done? How hard is it? Don’t the courts always rule in favor of the birth mother because of genetic links to the mother?

Witch K asked:

I KNOW she reads Yahoo! Answers and I’m hoping some of you can talk some sense into her. We have a very unplanned pregnancy and after talking with our families and our minister we’ve decided to give the baby up for adoption. The PROBLEM is she won’t stop drinking. She says she’s giving the baby up for adoption anyway.

I hope you can help us!
