Adoption in China from USA?

Hello. I need to get information about beign adoption child in China.
I want to adoption between baby to 12 months from China,
I am not USA citizens, but I do have USA green card (residence alien in USA). Its ok adoption for that?
Also How can I start process for adoption? Look for lawyer and fees? How much fees adoption do you think?
Please give me some advice. I’ll appreciate it.

You’d really need to talk with someone who does home studies. I know that people who are planning on adopting should be in what is considered a permanent residence, and anyone temporarily in the country on a green card probably wouldn’t be considered permanent.
Also, the laws of your home country have precedence in there also, and there isn’t enough information here to determine that situation. You will need a lawyer familiar with both international adoption as well as immigration. A larger firm with attorneys that specialize in both fields would probably be better for you. sizesmith

ahh yes the asian baby what better way to show how cool you are? or is it you want everyone to see what a selfless person you are by adopting a kid who looks nothing like you i mean obviously you want the attention if you are going to raise it. (note the sarcasm) Takanobu’sWife+SpencersMommy

Do some research, especially reading the articles describing the theft of children from their families in order to provide a supply of infants to those who think adoption is like going to the local puppy mall store, or that foreign-born children are docile dress-up dolls. If, despite all this, you still want to dispossess an infant from its world, please know too that there isn’t a more selfish act you can commit without outright murdering someone.

The wait for Chinese children is about 3 years long and I seriously doubt that a non US citizen is going to be able to adopt in the US. If you are a Chinese citizen adopting a Chinese baby, then that may be another story. You can contact Chinese Children Adoption International on the web to ask more questions.
