Most of the time NO. Once the child has been with the adoptive parents for a while that child has already begun the bonding process and it can hurt them at their core to snatch them back. As much as the biological parents don't want to think about it, that child will harbor an anger inside them for being forced to leave their family. Even if they're not old enough to remember, they will grow up with anger issues and no one will understand why.

I have to disagree to some extent. it depends on the circumstances. most people who give up their babies for adoption don't really want to but feel they have no other choice. once the baby is gone they realize what a big mistake they made. they baby will be better off in the long run with their real mother (as long as she is good to them)

I don't think she can claim custody back, however, she may be able to have some visitation rights. The child does need to know who his birth mother is eventually. The earlier, the better.

I agree, once she has signed the papers it should be over for her, trying to get the child back would cause many emotional problems for the new family and the child no matter what the age.
