Can my boyfriend interfere If I want to give my baby up for adoption?
he doesnt want to help me at all, neither does anyone in my familly so I think the best is for my son to have a good caring familly that can pay for college later on,but my boyfriend wants not to give me money and keep the baby can he do anything to interfire with the adoption?

I dont think so. I know you’re partner can’t interfere if you want to abort so i doubt he can if you want to give it up either. Hannah

check with your state laws. but, i am almost 100% sure that BOTH parents need to consent to adoption. he is the babies father and has just as much right as you do to decide whats right for this baby. speak with him and let him know how you feel. also, there are many programs to help struggling mothers with their babies you just have to look into them…best of luck to you 4thBabyOnTheWay

It is his baby too. If he wants the baby, he should be able to have the choice to take the baby instead of you giving the baby up for adoption. hnf116

The father will have to give consent, after all the child is his also. Pregnant with baby # 2

yes the father will have to give consent and there is a big chance that you can sign away your rights and he can get the child if he doesn’t agree with the adoption lidea316

it really sounds like you two need to talk it out, and yes he can interfere with the adoption process by getting a DNA test to establish parental rights (after baby is born) and he can file for custody of the baby. Also check into your local laws on the subject.
You may want to talk to him about an open adoption. Thwarted

The adoption papers have to be signed by you and him! He is a responsible party here to even if he doesn’t want to be. So be for you put the baby up for adoption you need to get his approval first. ace_bella0323
