How many mothers who are in their 20s & 30s and who are otherwise very capable of raising a child (ie- married/in a stable relationship, not addicted to drugs, make decent income, etc) do you think give up their children for adoption simply b/c they don’t want to be a mothers? Does this ever happen?

he has a past crimanal recourd. He wont quit smoking pot, He wants to fight for rights. We are no longer together. He has 4 other children from 4 other wemen. He dosent care about or want to c. I’ve decided to give her up for open adoption because he has an abusive past with me and the other wemen. I don’t want to subject the baby to. In my heart I feel im doing the wright thing. I dont feel the baby would be safe with him.

My friend recently had a baby and is thinking about giving her up for adoption because she is 18 and is dealing with a lot of drama from the dad’s family. Can she give the baby up for adoption? Or would the father be able use the court to get custody even after she is adopted?

I’m 20 and my mother was saying that she would get a lawyer and fight for parental rights of the child. I know I have to get the father’s permission, but can she do this? Can she adopt my baby even if I don’t want her to be able to?

I’m looking to place it with a family, not just abandon it or leave it in DSS custody.
where are you ppl getting daughter from? that’s not even the sex of the child…

I’m sixteen almost seventeen and i just found out im pregnant. I’ve come to the conclusion that i wouldn’t be able to support this baby, and the father pretty much is an asshole. So last night i had a dream, more like a nightmare actually, that this nurse was literally tearing the baby outta my hands, and i was screaming and kicking and going crazy. like would it really be that hard? would this scar me for life? would i be making a big mistake?
