My Adopted Baby

My question is: do we have time to start the adoption process (haven’t done anything yet!) and get our dossier/information in before the May 1st deadline? Or are we already too late because this process takes longer than that?

Also, my husband is Chinese-American (grandparents were from China). Will this result in expedited adoption or other benefits? I assume the May 1st regulations still apply to us but would be curious if anyone has any insights.

That is so, very unfair. Seems to me, the baby is out, the father should have exactly the same rights as the mother.

I am due in June and am a teen. I thought about adoption a lot, but I am pretty sure I am going to keep my baby. But some days I feel so confident about keeping her, and other days I feel like I should do adoption because I am so young and feel like I will not be strong enough at this point to raise a child. Just looking for your personal experiences, and whether you regret anything. Thanks!

I recently found out I was pregnant, and I was considering abortion, but I wish to move to the UK and I considered having the baby there in order to get my legal papers. Can I put it up for adoption AFTER I get my papers? That way I don’t have to kill the fetus or anything, just give it away after I obtain my legal residence status through it.
