does the birth mother get any money for placing her baby up for adoption?

Not at any respectable agency. The adoptive parents might pay for her hospital bills but shouldn’t give her any compensation for the child. Jenny

depends on where she goes. as a company will not “buy” the baby. they will take care of bills and things. but sometimes a couple doesn’t qualify for adoption for one reason or another and will litterally “buy” a child. if the birth mom gives the child to them with the intent for them to raise it. then they can adopt. you will see postings by these people in the newspaper or on craigslist. old bitty

Actually, it depends.
If she goes through an independent agency, they usually pay for hospital/doctor fees, sometimes clothes and food throughout the pregnancy, and sometimes a fee.
But I doubt she’s going through an agency like that. Usually those are only for women who are healthy, filled out a lot of forms and were chosen. Digi

I agree with the first answerer, but she could be reimbursed for hospital and other costs. Some times adoptive parents pay lining expenses for the mother while she is pregnant (even if she lives with her parents). The baby will be better off with a loving couple dying to have a child. The girl needs to grow up. How sad! Susan M

no, you only get reimbursed for hospital fees which goes into insurance.

here in australia you do not get money to put your baby up for adoption………its illegal.
and yes it is very disgusting the motives being mentioned adoption should be for people who genuinely cannot raise a child due to circumstances beyond their control a baby is a human being. Georgie
