Tell your son to get an attorney right away and to file for visitationm joint custody or full custody if she does not want to raise the child. He needs to get his rights as a father protected. If there is no custody order in effect, depending on what state your in, all state laws are different, she can just take off at any time and not tell him that she is leaving and it would not be considered kidnapping. He could try to file for visitation and/or custody after she is gone but would be much more difficult. If there is some sort of custody/visitation agreement filed with the court, then if she takes off he can file for contempt and in some cases kidnapping charges can be filed. My best advice is to tell your son to get an attorney asap and file for visitation or custody and get his rights as a father protected.

If he does not want to give the baby up for adoption he doesn't have to. If the mother doesn't want the baby your son has the right to full custody. Contact a lawyer asap to ensure he gets his rights.

so im guessing she didnt end up giving the baby up for adoption? what do you mean what to do? theres nothing you can do. you cant take the baby away from her unless you can prove her to be unfit.
