I think it might be social class which isn’t fair because not everyone is born wealthy and not all people can acheive that much wealth in their lifetime.

Personally I wouldn’t want my child to go to rich and famous since that puts them as a target for alot of crap but being rich and famous does have advantages for adopting parents…famous means they have connections or know someone who does and rich means they are able to care for the child. Two big pluses when looking for a child with the adoption agencies….also some women would do saraget mother for them just to do it.

In the United States, most birth parents are able to choose the adoptive parents from many profiles. So if there are 50 couples with profiles in an agency’s “book,” and you are a birth mother, wouldn’t you pick the rich, famous couple (or even single parent) to adopt YOUR baby?

Besides the fact that those higher class couples have money, I think it also has to do with what the agencies think these couples can provide for the child!!! So I guess that still falls under money. Agencies want to know that these children will grow up in a stable environment, but then again how stable is a celebrity family with paparazzi following them around? I don’t know…. it is definitely messed up!

Because they’re famous and rich. This could be both negative (buying their way up the waiting list) and positive (the adopting country wanting to bring attention to the plight of the children in hopes that they can get more world-wide attention/aid).
