I know my birth parents name but have never tried to find them. My birth mother gave me away because her situation was bad for me. I thank her for that, but my parents (who are now both dead) are the ones I love and remember. As others have said, talk to several people of all ages, occupations, and beliefs. Keep you child or let someone else raise them. Give your baby up and still be involved if you want to, there are adoptive parents that would welcome that as well. Make an informed decision, and do what you think is best, that way you and your baby will both be able to live with it. It it his child so he should, and does have equal rights. You will need him to sign over his parental rights in order for you to give up the child for adoption. If he does not sign over the rights, then you will not be able to legally give up the child.
