I’m watching this tv show where the mom wants to put the baby up for adoption but the father doesnt…What happens in these type of situations??

    Im sure if the mother was really up for putting the child up for adoption the father would do the right thing and leave the mother taking the child with him shelley

    Well, what happens is, the child cannot be put up for adoption! You’ll have to hire a lawyer who specializies in Family Issues. 3rd x’s a Charm

    Im sure your watching MTV’s True Life “Im placing my baby for adoption” because it is on right now. Both parents and if she wants adoption and he does not then she can place the baby in the custody of the father. However in the case of what you are watching she ended up agreeing with the child’s father to raise the child. Mel

    A baby can not be put up for adoption unless both parents, if it is known who both parents are, agree to it. whinie_p

    The mother takes the father to court and tries to get a freeing order, so the child can be adopted without the father’s permission. But to do this, she would have to prove the father is unfit to have custody of the child. Melissa Swan
