My parents adopted me out of Mexico as a baby. There are no adoption papers and they are listed as my real ?
parents on my birth certificate. Needless to say, my father was very abusive growing up and I now want to report him to social security for
fraud as he claim me all these years. Will he be punished?

No, relationship is not the criteria. It is if he provided at least 50% of your support. Support is food, housing, and clothing. You could be a totally unrelated trillionaire and he can claim you.

Real children, adopted children, foster children, even totally unrelated children who the parents support as a member of the household, could be claimed if all dependency tests are met. And you wouldn’t be reporting them to social security, but the IRS.
Short story: he will not be punished because he probably didn’t violate tax laws, at least as far as claiming you as a dependent.
How was he abusive? Did it reach criminal levels? You would report that to law enforcement. If they will take the case.
