    Of course you don’t have any rights as an aunt. Do you think your sister should be able to run your life? If your sister was being a bad mother, breaking the law or other similar crimes you would have an obligation to speak up and the court would certainly take your knowledge and close affiliation into consideration though you don’t have any say in this matter.     No, you can’t get the baby back.

    You have no say in the disposition of the adoption. Only the parents can make that decision.

    You have no legal rights at all.

    It must have been a difficult decision for your sister. Why not leave it alone and support her in her decision. She needs your compassion, not your enmity. BJ

    speak to your sister about this as it is her decision and you are not the mother to the baby. is there perhaps a reason she does not want you to raise the baby? maybe she has good reasons you do not know because you don’t like her decision. But…it IS LEGALLY HER decision and not yours. Lis

    You have no rights in this situation. The decision was your sister’s and only she can get her baby back. I believe there’s a short period of days where your sister can ‘take back’ or change her mind about the adoption. graciiee_x3
