she can adopt her baby to you, but she needs to feel comftorble with it. most young mothers that choose adoption dont want it to be in the family. it might confuse the child.

It's not like you're thinking. Do you know what agency your sister's going to use? Are you signed up with that agency? Just how are you going to get that baby? It's your sister's decision. Her body. Her baby. It's nice that you want to get involved but if she doesn't want you to then you don't have any rights. I'd say you need to find out what agency she's going to use & petition that agency to be able to adopt if that's what you want. You can't force your sister to give you her baby.

It's entirely the mother's decision. If she wants you to raise her child, she will let you know. You're not automatically entitled to another person's child, no.

There are no laws that make her obligated to give you her baby.

She has the legal right to choose whoever she wants to adopt her child (as long as they can pass the homestudy). Even though you are bologically related to the child, if she choses someone else as the adoptive parents then there's really nothing you can do, the choice is soley up to her and the baby's father.

You should defiantly have her take a look at the non-fairy tale version of adoption. This website paints a much cleared picture of reality.

Yes, she has the authority to not allow you to adopt him/her. That was determined by the Supreme Court back in the 80s.

yes she has the right to choose who will adopt her baby! but if your her sister she may or may not want you to have the baby because it might be to hard for her to see her baby all the time! or she may want you having it because she would know the baby would go to a loving home!! good luck to both you and your sister!
