No to both. It is a breech of basic human rights. Maybe money would be better spent educating on sex education further and providing assistance for teen mums.
i don’t think the law thing is gonna work. Cause you can’t arrest teens for having sex. That’s just wrong, some teens don’t want the baby and it was just an accident. So, you can’t arrest for that. I think the girl and the family (also the boy’s family) should have a discussion about it. I don’t think it should be in court since it’s a private thing.
Why are you in such a hurry to become a mother? Don’t be so selfish, what kind of life can you provide for a baby at 18? Do you have a job? Did you finish school? Who will watch the baby when you are working or finishing school? Why must you burden others for your own selfish reasons? Or perhaps you will go on welfare and burden tax payers?
i think it depends on the person. Some girls under 18 are mature enough to have a child and care for it while others are not. I can speak from experience my oldest was born when i was 17 and i was just out of high school had very supportive partents and the father of the baby was there the entire time. He stepped forward and halped raise and support his child. We never married but to ths day he is very actively involved in my daughters life. €I went on to college and own my own business. So for me it was ok
On the other hand i have two stepdaughters one is 26 and her first child was born when she was 17 and she did excellent with having a baby she graduated from high school went to college had two more children with the same man and s doping great. My other stepdaughter is 15 and due with her baby in 3 weeks. She is not socialy or mentaly ready for a child. My husband and i are very suportive but her mom is not, but grandmother is. The babies father split and has had no contact with her since the day she found out she was pregnant. Abortion would of been an option but we dd not find out until she was about 11 weeks along. Adopton was talked about until grandma stuck her nose into the issue, now she wants to keep baby but who will be rasing it grandma? Now she wants to drop out of school. In her case think she should give the baby up
If the girl(and hopefully boy too),is responsible enough to have sex(and care for baby),they should have the right to take care of that child if that’s what they want,AT ANY AGE. Some girls under 18 are more responsible mothers than some that are over 18+.
I m glad that u have asked this questions. I think in away there is a yes an a no to that question. the yes because there r to many teenagers having babies for the baby bonus but dnt realise the affect of the child on there life. the no is there r some teenagers out there who do take the rite precusions but the miricle of child birth my still happen. for example i have friend who just gave birth to two healthy twin boys. shes 17 but i think that even though they werent planed she would make a lot better parent then most teenagers her age. plus forcing some one to give up the baby they had beening carring for the last 9 months just goes aganinst human rites.
No. Not all teen moms are immature, although a lot are.
I got pregnant at 16 with twins, gave birth to them when I was 17. Within a month of finding out I was pregnant, I got my own apartment with the father. My mom died when I was young and my dad has always been supportive to me, but not really financially because he struggles. I bought my first house when my twins were 3 months old and I have never depended on my family to support me. Yes, there have been times I’ve struggled financially. But I’ve been a good mother to my kids. Their dad took off when they were 4 months old and I still did it on my own. I never pushed my kids off on my parents or lived off someone else. I took care of my responsibility.
So seeing teens get pregnant upsets me and I think it’s messed up that so many of them just pop out kids and then have their parents pretty much raise them. But not all teen moms are that way. I wasn’t.
well there are many different ways to answer this question. but if a female under 18 gets pregnant that is entirely her responsibly. Nobody made her have sex, if she chooses abortion that’s her as far as abortion a woman should only be able to get one provided she was rapped. I believe a child is a major responsibly and if the female isn’t able to provide for that child give it up. But no one should be forced to do anything.
No. It’s their right to keep that baby and raise it. It wouldn’t be right to remove it from it’s mother, there shouldn’t be a law. Now if the mom wants to do either one, then whatever, but I think current law is fine.
NO. People must have the freedom to make their own choices in life and be responsible for them.
The government has no business there. This is not just my opinion. Read the Tenth Amendment.
I believe that neither should be aloud. I am 17 and I have my daughter who is 6 months and just found out I am pregnant again. I work full time, go to college full time, and I am a great mother. Every one who knows me knows that I am a great mother and they will say it to everyone. I think if people (the government, law) would force mothers to give up their kids if they were under 18 that they would be horrible for even thinking of it. My daughter is mine and my husbands life. I feel if a girl and guy can have sex then they should be able to chose how to react. I am pro life but I feel that the choice is up to those who have sex. I know you were just asking, but there are women out there like me who work their butt’s off to give their kids everything. Just because a girl is young when she has a child doesn’t mean we can not take care of our children and not all teenage mothers are immature live of the government, and burden tax payers…!
