Sims 3: How to put baby up for adoption?
Is there a way you can put your babies up for adoption? I’ve been waiting for a girl, but so far my sim has had 5 boys and its too many already! I tried calling the adoption services but its only to adopt another kid lol. I don’t really want to neglect a child either because it ruins the sims mood and life practically. HAHA!

If you are really mean to the kids, and make your sim HATE the child a family member can move into a diff. house and take the child with him and yell at the parents
WORKED FOR ME!

Well, like the other guy said, you can neglect them. If you want to choose another method, you can use the cheat testingcheatsenabled true then you can move the friendship meter with the child to the left for a disliked feeling.
P.S.- if you want to have a girl, have the mother buy then consecutivly eat 3 watermelons. always worked for me. (boys are apples, by the way)

i dont know how to get rid of the boys, but if you eat watermelons while your pregnant its meant to increase your chances of having a girl

while i was playing other sims i had created, my personal sim somehow ended up adopting a kid, which i wasn’t necessarily ready for her to do yet. i tried neglecting the child (i swear, not something i would ever do in real life), but i didn’t know how else to give up the child, so i waited for the social worker to come get the baby.
didn’t happen and it really broke my heart to leave the baby so neglected, so i went to the edit town option and tried to split the household. i was able to merge the baby with another household, so i gave her to the Landgraabs, figuring they were a rich family and hopefully she’d be well taken care of. so, in a way, it was like giving her up for adoption…kinda leaving her on the doorstep in the middle of the night, etc.
i swear, i’d never do such a thing in real life, but it’s funny how actions in Sim world actually make you feel awful in the real one sometimes.
anyway, seemed to work for me.
