Sims3.How do I put a baby up for adoption?

I decided to change the active household for 1 Sims day…When I went back to playing my main character in a different household she now had a baby [which im positive she adopted]. I don’t want my Sims to have a baby! How to I give it up for adoption, it won’t let me go to sleep until i stop it from crying and the baby won’t die!!!
