I am 6 weeks pregnant. I had a scan & saw a heartbeat, so far all is good. I am already a mother of 3 & have separated from my long term relationship. I am booked for an abortion as i can’t care or support another child. I would like to consider adoption. I live in the U.K how would i go about this?

I’ve been looking at many adoption agencies in the last couple of days to help me make up my mind. I was going to get an abortion due to lack of money, I wouldn’t even be able to pay for the food ill be consuming in the next couple of months not to think of the hospital bill.Until my friend told me at adoption agencies I can find a couple who r willing to pay for the bill. Is this true? I’m not trying to sound like I’m all about $$. But I’m a full time student and a part time worker wit already bills over my head for da next couple of decades. I just can’t kill a baby. So let’s say a couple that both have succesful jobs ( say lawyers or doctors or Buisness CEOs) find out that they are going to be having a baby, but they don’t actually want to have childern. Now assuming they don’t want to go through with an abortion, can this couple have the baby and give it up for adoption? Or because they are both adults and are finacially stable, will they not be allowed to give up the child simply because they don’t want kids?

I was just wondering because most adoptions you hear about involve pregnant teens or people that cannot support a child. Anybody know the answer? Thanks!

I am of the opinion that there are three kinds of people:
1. Those who would only raise their child themselves
2. Those who would either have an abortion or raise their own child
3. Those who would give their child up for adoption or raise it themselves.

I really don’t think there are many people out there who would consider all three options, therefore outlawing abortion wouldn’t make any significant impact on adoption rates. All it would do is increase the number of single mothers, teen mothers, and illegal abortions.

Are there more people out there who would give their baby up for adoption in the absence of safe, legal abortions than I think?

i decided not to have an abortion.. i had a question previously.. and i been getting a few nice couples who would like to adopt my baby..

but i have my worries.. i do not want to my child out in a government adoption centre for fear he/she might not be even be given a proper family.

can someone accept a half white/half asian baby..

i also have a fear after committing to the couple.. i might be bonded with the child and decided raise my child..

I have a 5 week old baby girl. I’m married. This baby was not planned even if we were using protection. We were both thinking about abortion but we decided to keep her. the pregnancy was awful. She’s a cute baby but I feel no connection and I’m not ready I have just started my carrier and that’s my focus right now. We would just have to get a nanny for the baby. Is adoption a good idea or is it too late?
