At what age did you start giving your baby regular milk and table foods?

When did you completely stop the formula and how did your baby take to it? I have heard of people starting to feed their baby table food at 3 months! And the baby turn out to be as healthy as can be. Formula is so expensive! So i want different opinions, what did you do with your baby and how did it work for them?
