What is the process and how much does it normally cost to adopt a baby in Texas?

adopt baby
younggb77 asked:

I can’t have any more kids. I only have one. I am 29 years young. I want to adopt a baby girl.
I am not discriminating against any gender. I already have a boy, which is why I said a girl.

It depends on you. Baby girls are in high demand. Do you want to do foster care? You might to check with your local Department of Health and Human Services. If you want a baby, check with an adoption agency. Be careful with them. Even adoption agencies in the United States are unscrupulous.

Research adoption as whole, infant adoption, foster care adoption. Check out both sides of the fence. Read information on adoptees as whole. Read information on the natural parents experience too. Don’t believe anything an adoption agency tells you. Investigate it yourself. Avoid any agency that promotes sealed records from you and your potential adoptee and their natural parents. Keep it honest and open. Thereby keeping it free of unethical practices

I adopted my daughter 8 years ago. We visited several adoption agencies with costs as high as $25000.00. And they wanted you to find your own baby! Crazy! We finally settled on an agency in NW Houston - who charged considerably less for an interracial child. Since it didn’t matter at all to us, we adopted an interracial child and it cost about $5000. It was a completely positive experience and we now have a good relationship with the birth mother.

Hi. We live in Central TX and the adoption agency in our town goes by income. So if you have an in come of 29,999.99 or less, your adoption will be around 7,000. If you have a gross yearlyincome of over $280,000you can expect to pay around $30,000. I don’t know why that is, but I think its good that they are allowing ALL families the opportunity to adopt, not just the ppl with the most money as that itself does not qualify ANYONE a “better” parent.

    Whats wrong with boys?

I don’t understand how someone can possibly say they want a baby, yet only a girl or only a boy.
