I am expecting my first child in November. I am planning on breast feeding, but I also would like to give her baby food. At what age is it okay to give a baby stage-one baby food from a jar?

4-6 months. when she doesn’t push the food out with her tongue and is able to sit on her own, or with a little bit of help with a pillow.
read a parenting book…sounds like you need it.
i give my 8 week old daughter babyfood and cereal it hasnt hurt her she loves it but my breastfeeding consulant told me that she taste what i eat anyway. good luck
Usually when a child can sit up by himself or with a little help. You will know if your child is ready for table food if his tongue reflexes don’t push the food back out of his mouth when you try to spoon feed him… Every child develops differently so you can’t determine this by “age” - - my son is only 4months and his little greedy butt is already eating cereal!
