depends on the state, go to your local DHS and look into it. they are there to help, of the people i have ran into most are very helpful.

My sister was in your same situation a little while ago. The baby’s father wouldn’t consent to it, so now my sister is single parenting. She doesnt mind so much anymore, she loves that little girl, but yes, you do need consent.

Yes… If you know who the father is. And if you don’t then I would say no.

yes you do hun, however if you don’t want the baby then why not ask him to have baby or ask family to adopt so you still can have involvement x

I agree with both of your first two answers. But does the father even know or care? I would not advise it, but if you have the baby and haven’t heard from him, you can legally say “I have no idea who the father is”. And after a year, in most states, then the adoption is final.

In the UK, if someone contests to the adoption - i.e. the father comes forward and says that the baby is his. He’d have to get DNA to prove it but if you say you don’t know who the dad is, then no…
Think hard about this before you go through with it!
