abortion is not the answer, once you are carrying a child it not right to abort even if you were seduced and raped, two wrongs does not make it right, there are alot of unfortunate women who cannot bear children you can give it up for adoption, think how fortunate you are that your mom carried you through nine months and did not abort you

I believe it's imperative that we have laws in our country to allow women the right to a safe and legal abortion if they so choose. There are many situations and circumstances where that may be the best course of action. I believe it is a woman's right to decide if she wants to carry the baby to term, or if she wants to abort it at the very beginning. It's a difficult choice to make, but it's a moral one that should be up to each individual, not the government.

i believe adoption is most definitely a better alternative......i'm a female and so the argument that women should have a choice because it's their body blah blah blah is a bunch of bull-hockey....abortion takes away a human life..no way around it...and it's not like the baby has a say in it.....the only way i would even think about someone having an abortion was if it would cause death to the mother to have the baby....

No, it wouldn't be. Sorry for the novel, but:

"Cost of live birth in the US:
According to babycenter.com
“The cost of a normal vaginal birth for a self-pay patient with a one-day stay ranged from $2,500 to $3,000. If, however, things do not go as you plan and you end up being delivered by cesarean section, then the cost will be significantly higher.”

An abortion in the US generally costs between $300 and $700 dollars, depending on your location, the type of abortion you’re getting, what clinic you go to, whether or not you can receive financial aid, so on and so forth.

I personally think that it is far more wrong to bring into the world a child that you do not want and cannot care for, expecting others to bear the expense (mental, physical, financial) of raising it, than it is to make sure that the child never exists in the first place. The current system of Adoption in this country is deplorable, and until every single orphanage and foster home worldwide is empty and there's still a massive demand for children, adoption has proven itself not to be the end-all-be-all fixit solution. While I feel for the plight of the childless who seek offspring, it is not the job of the unintentionally pregnant to play broodmares for them.

Racism in adoption

There is no lack of unwanted children in this world. If parents are awaiting a child to love, it’s generally because they have criteria that aren’t being met.

Take for example, this:
“So. It wasn't about babies after all, but about white babies. They didn't tell us that in religion class, nor did they mention it at the march. But wait! Open any newspaper and you can find couples advertising, selling themselves as loving parents who wish to complete their lives with your baby. Yes. Your white baby.”
Don’t believe the article? Check this out:
Choose any family, then click the ‘learn more about our family’ link. It’ll send you to a chart outlining the family and the criteria they seek in an infant. Here’s the most common answer:
Newborn. Caucasian. No special needs.
It’s not that there aren’t hundreds of thousands of unwanted and unloved children already existing in the world, desperately needing homes… it’s that they don’t fit the acceptable profile.

For every shiny new baby you add to the system, another existing child doesn’t get adopted.
Meet Dominique and Ivy.

They need a family. If I give birth to a perfect, healthy, white newborn, and a loving family adopts it, that's one less family who will consider adopting Dominique and Ivy."

Giving it up for adoption is better then killing it. If they(it takes 2!!!) weren't ready to become parents then they should've thought about that before hand when the deed was being done..a baby is a gift, and when you cant have one or are unsuccessfully trying and people are just "giving" them away it really makes you think on how blessed people are and how selfish they are at the same time, and yes accident do happen, i mean if alot of the people in the world only planned pregnancies, there wouldn't be a whole lot of us!! I'm not a holy roller or anything but when you cant have one it just upsets you

that would be great if more woman could do that but alot of the reasons is they just dont want to be pregnant in the first place. There are some wonderful people out there that would make great parents but cannot. plus once you give birth giving away that child is usually harder than just being pregnant, even if they think they cannot take care of it. Its the bond they have when being born. but again adobtion would be a better alternative than abortion just for the family that could give the child alot of love.

I guess there's no way to know for sure that child would be placed in a good home. It would be a chance that you would have to take.
I don't know...death before they're viable...the possiility of a childhood full of abuse...or happy loving family.
Finality or always wondering if they are okay?
Tough decision either way

That's a difficult question. The woman who has an abortion might feel bad about "getting rid" of the child but obversely the woman who gives her child up for adoption might always wonder how the child is doing and if they are being treated properly by their adopted parents.

There are already many kids out there waiting for "good couples" to adopt them. Not all of them, however, are white. That seems to be a problem for many of the childless, white-bred, Church loving, Bible preaching, American couples out there.
